Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Prayer Time stores, what it sends to third-party services to power features, and what choices users have over location, settings, reminders, bookmarks and usage data.
1. What this policy covers
Prayer Time is designed to provide prayer times, Qur'an reading and listening tools, Qibla direction, the Islamic calendar and related reminder features. Some features work entirely in browser storage, while others call trusted third-party services to retrieve prayer data, maps or Qur'an audio.
This policy covers the information processed when you use the website and extension, including local browser storage and limited aggregated usage reporting.
2. Information we process
Information stored locally on your device
- Selected location and prayer calculation method.
- Time format and theme preference.
- Prayer reminder settings.
- Qur'an bookmarks, reciter choice, translation choice and reading preferences.
- Recently used in-page states needed for the user experience.
Aggregated usage information
The platform may send limited aggregated counters such as listen time or page visits to internal endpoints so overall usage can be measured at a high level. These metrics are used to understand how the product is used, not to build advertising profiles.
Information you intentionally provide
If you use a contact or feedback e-mail link, the content you send becomes part of your message to the Prayer Time team.
3. How information is used
- To remember your settings and reopen the platform in a useful state.
- To calculate and display prayer schedules using the chosen method and location.
- To provide Qur'an audio, reciter selection, bookmarks and download functionality.
- To improve reliability, performance and feature prioritisation using aggregate usage signals.
- To respond to support, privacy or feedback enquiries that you choose to send.
4. Third-party services
Prayer Time depends on third-party services for certain functionality. These may receive the minimum technical data required to serve the request, such as an IP address, requested resource or location coordinates used for prayer time or map queries.
- Prayer time and calendar data providers.
- Qur'an text, recitation and audio file providers.
- Map and geocoding providers used for the Qibla page and location lookups.
5. Retention and control
Most settings stored in your browser remain there until you clear them, overwrite them or remove the site data from your browser. Aggregated analytics retained by Prayer Time are kept only for operational analysis and service planning.
You can clear browser storage at any time through browser settings. If you remove the extension, extension-local settings are removed according to your browser's extension data handling rules.
6. Your choices
- You can change your location, method, theme, format and reminder preferences inside the product.
- You can clear bookmarks and saved settings from browser storage.
- You can disable or remove the extension if you no longer want extension-local storage.
- You can contact Prayer Time regarding questions or rights requests using the Contact page.
