Al-Falaq, "The Daybreak", is a short surah of five verses and, with An-Nas, one of the two "surahs of refuge" (al-Mu'awwidhatayn). The believer seeks refuge in the Lord of the daybreak from the evil of what He created, from the darkness of the night, from those who practise sorcery and from the evil of an envier when he envies.
The Prophet ﷺ said that nothing like these two surahs had ever been revealed for seeking refuge (Sahih Muslim 814). Before sleeping he recited Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and An-Nas, blew into his hands and wiped over his body (Sahih al-Bukhari 5017). They are read after each prayer (Abu Dawud 1523) and three times in the morning and the evening.

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
Min sharri ma khalaq
From the mischief of created things;
وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ
Wa min sharri ghasiqin iza waqab
From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads;
وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ
Wa min sharrin-naffaa-thaati fil 'uqad
From the mischief of those who practise secret arts;
وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
Wa min shar ri haasidin iza hasad
And from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy.
